I Didn’t Start a Travel Business for the Money… I Started It for Time

There was a season of my life where everything felt uncertain.

After my brain surgeries, planning a wedding, and moving into our first home as adults—with an almost 3-year-old—life felt heavy. Beautiful, but heavy. The kind of heavy where you’re grateful, you trust God’s plan… but still feel that quiet anxiety creep in when bills stack up and the pressure sits on your husband’s shoulders.

I knew one thing for sure:
My perspective on time had completely changed.

When your future feels uncertain, time stops feeling unlimited.

And I wanted every single second with my son.

The Moment Everything Shifted

I didn’t start this because I was chasing some big business dream.

I started because:

  • I wanted to be home with my babies
  • I wanted to help financially
  • And I didn’t feel like that responsibility should fall on my husband alone

So I said yes… even though I was scared.

Scared it wouldn’t work.
Scared it was “too good to be true.”
But also quietly hoping… what if it does?

Our story

What My Life Actually Looks Like Now

Fast forward to today…

I’m a mom of two beautiful boys—one in school a couple days a week, and one still in that sweet baby stage. And most days?

They’re with me 24/7.

And somehow… this business fits into that life.

Not the other way around.

I work:

  • During nap time
  • After bedtime
  • In the in-between moments most people overlook

There’s no clocking in.
No asking for time off.
No missing milestones.

I work when I can… and I don’t when I don’t need to.

And that freedom? It’s everything.

What This Gave Me (That No One Talks About)

Yes, there’s income. And yes, that matters—we’re not struggling the way we used to.

But what this really gave me?

  • Confidence in myself again
  • A community that feels like family
  • A stronger relationship at home
  • A sense of identity outside of just being “mom”
  • And something that is mine that I built from the ground up

I didn’t expect the pride I feel now.

Helping other women—especially moms who feel the way I once did—has become one of the most meaningful parts of this journey.

Because I remember exactly what it felt like to need something… and not know where to start.

The Part That Means the Most to Me

This opportunity found me at a time I needed it most.

And without someone reaching out to me… I probably wouldn’t have said yes.

That’s why I do what I do now.

I want to be that person for someone else.

The one who says,
“Hey… if you’ve been looking for something, this might be it.”

And Yes… Let’s Talk About Travel

This part still feels surreal sometimes.

Travel went from being something we hoped we could afford…
to something we actually get to experience, often.

Now:

I book our own trips at discounted rates

I get paid when we travel

And those trips? They’re tax write-offs

Plus, I get firsthand experience to better serve my clients

But the best part?

The memories.

Getting my boys out into the world.
Experiencing new places together.
Building a life that feels bigger than just our day-to-day.

If You’ve Been Looking for Something…

I’m not here to convince anyone.

But I am here to say this:

If you’ve been feeling stuck…
If you’ve been wanting more time, more flexibility, or even just something for you

I get it. I’ve been there.

And sometimes all it takes is one conversation.

If you’re curious, message me.
No pressure, no expectations—just a real conversation.

Because saying yes to this?
It didn’t just change our finances.

It changed our life.
